{"id":160363,"date":"2026-03-17T22:00:43","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T21:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focolaremalta.org\/?p=160363"},"modified":"2026-03-18T18:37:02","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T17:37:02","slug":"english-election-of-the-general-councillors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focolaremalta.org\/en\/english-election-of-the-general-councillors\/","title":{"rendered":"Election of the General Councillors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Today, the 20 General Councillors of the Focolare Movement were elected; during their term of office, they will support the President of the Focolare Movement in her role.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the General Statutes, they, together with the President and the Co-President, are responsible for representing the entire Movement and expressing its unity.<\/p>\n<p>They will be called upon to carry out the tasks entrusted to them by the President, in particular overseeing the practical aspects of the life of the Movement (summarised in the \u201cseven colours\u201d) and the support of the geographical subdivisions (the \u201czones\u201d). Each one, in their own role, will have at heart the unity of the entire family of the Focolare Movement, safeguarding and promoting it at every step.<\/p>\n<p>They will be called upon to carry out the tasks entrusted to them by the President, in particular overseeing the practical aspects of the life of the Movement (summarised in the \u201cseven colours\u201d) and the support of the geographical subdivisions (the \u201czones\u201d).
