<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\nHoly Thursday<\/strong><\/p>\n Jesus shared the Last Supper with the apostles and, after washing their feet, said:<\/p>\n \u201cDo you understand what I have done for you? You call me Teacher and Lord\u2014and rightly so. If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another\u2019s feet\u2026 I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done for you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Good Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cJesus carried his cross\u2026 to the place called Golgotha. There they crucified him with two others\u201d (Jn 19:17\u201318)<\/p>\n Reflection:<\/strong> \u201cAt noon darkness came over the whole land\u2026 and at about three o\u2019clock Jesus cried out: \u2018My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?\u2019\u201d (Mt 27:45\u201346)<\/p>\n \u201cWe began to understand that Jesus Crucified and Forsaken is the model for those who want to love God with all their heart\u2026 for those who are poor in spirit\u2026 who let go of their own ideas\u2026 He is the model of perfect unity\u2026 of one who places all hope in God\u2026 who, feeling abandoned, entrusted himself completely to Love.\u201d \u201cGod\u2019s love is greater than betrayal, abandonment, insults, violence, hatred, envy, cruelty\u2026 God\u2019s love is greater than all this, and we see it in Jesus on the cross\u2026 \u2018No one has greater love than this: to lay down one\u2019s life for one\u2019s friends.\u2019 We were not his friends, yet he treated us as such and gave his life for us. This is the great love we see in the crucified Jesus.\u201d Easter Sunday<\/strong><\/p>\n After the silence of Holy Saturday, lived together with Mary, we eagerly await Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n In one of his audiences on \u201cThe Resurrection of Christ and the Challenges of Today\u2019s World,\u201d<\/em> Pope Leo XIV said:<\/p>\n \u201cHis Resurrection on the third day is the beginning of a new history. The disciples became true brothers\u2014not only because they shared the sorrow of Jesus\u2019 death, but above all because they recognized Him as the Risen One and became His witnesses.<\/p>\n Brothers support each other in trials; they do not turn their backs on those in need: they weep and rejoice together\u2026 This is what Jesus told us: \u2018Love one another as I have loved you\u2019 (Jn 15:12). Christ, who died and rose for us, wants to make us all brothers and free us from selfishness and division\u2026 leading us back to our original calling through love and renewed hope each day. \n\u201cWe hear about the cross in Lent, kiss it on Good Friday, hang it in classrooms\u2026 but we have not understood it. Perhaps the whole mistake lies here: we still have not understood what love is\u2026 Love is God\u2019s life! It is love that led Jesus to the cross\u2026 that saved humanity and formed the saints\u2026 The cross is the key that opens a treasure: it unites humanity with God.\u201d
