“When she rang off, I felt really happy.”

In view of my age, as is the case with many others, I have not gone out of my house during the past weeks, in order to abide by the directives of the Department of Health. I live alone, and spend most of the day alone, so I appreciate every opportunity to communicate with members of my family, with friends and with those persons with whom I share the spirituality of unity. It was really a beautiful moment when the telephone rang and I heard the voice of a young girl who asked me how I was coping. She was a Gen!*

I am an eighty-year old woman, and together with this young girl, I shared a moment of communion. I shared with her how I was trying to live the present moment, and recognise the face of Jesus Crucified in the suffering of the present situation.

When she rang off, I felt really happy. I not only appreciated the beautiful gesture of this young girl, but, through her, I also recognised the love of God for me.

This was not the only time that I heard her voice on the telephone.
